CFSP Statements

Declaration by the Presidency on behalf of the European Union, on the application of specific measures to combat terrorism

The Acceding Countries Bulgaria and Romania, the Candidate Countries Turkey, Croatia* and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and the EFTA country Liechtenstein, member of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, declare that they share the objectives of Common Position 2006/380/CFSP of 29 May 2006 updating Common Position 2001/931/CFSP on the application of specific measures to combat terrorism and repealing Common Position 2006/231/CFSP.

They will ensure that their national policies conform to that Common Position.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.

* Croatia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia continue to be part of the Stabilisation and Association Process.
