Declaration by the Presidency on behalf of the European Union concerning Council Decision 2006/51/CFSP of 30 January 2006 implementing Common Position 2004/161/CFSP renewing restrictive measures against Zimbabwe


 

The Acceding Countries Bulgaria and Romania, the Candidate Countries Turkey, Croatia* and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, and the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, declare that they share the objectives of Council Decision 2006/51/CFSP of 30 January 2006 implementing Common Position 2004/161/CFSP renewing restrictive measures against Zimbabwe. They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.

* Croatia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia continue to be part of the Stabilisation and Association Process.
