EU Statement on the MANPADS-annex to the OSCE Handbook of Best Practices on SALW

The European Union welcomes the steady progress made to the implementation of the SALW Document in the past years. The Handbook of Best Practices on SALW is in this context one example of concrete and practical steps.
The European Union supports the MANPADS-annex as well as the proposal to take an FSC Decision to formally attach the annex to the Handbook of Best Practices on SALW.

The Acceding Countries Bulgaria and Romania, the Candidate Countries Turkey, Croatia* and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro, EFTA country Norway, member of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine align themselves with this declaration.
